Saturday Soothe - Yin and Sound - Saturday 11th October - Evening Retreat with Amy Manancourt
An invitation to join RetreatMe with Amy Manancourt at the beautiful Wellnest Kirkstall.
We invite you to nourish your body through yin yoga, long held poses that improve flexibility through mobilising the fascia, the deep connective tissue that is essential for movement, reducing stress and promoting an inner calm. The Tibetan bowls and moon gong will then take you to the next level of relaxation. Leave feeling soothed and stretched on this alternative Saturday night.
Based on the Taoist principles Yin yoga is calming, meditative and a physically healing practice. Predominantly a floor based practice guided by Amy we will embark on 80 minutes of deep yin, we hold the asana for longer, focusing on being at one with our body, encouraging you to breathe into the sensations to release held tension, thus improving flexibility and overall strength.
After being refreshed by hot teas and treats, in the RetreatMe style, Samantha invites you to settle into the space, get cosy and prepared to let our body accept the sound and vibrations of her moon gong, himalayan singing bowls, tongue drum and koshi chimes. Sound has been used for 1000’s years to calm the mind and body, the individually selected instruments will take you into a place of peace and calm, leaving you in a state of balance and harmony for the weekend and the weeks ahead.
All levels welcome
